...at a reasonable price?

Sick of your points burning up or closing and making your V-dub run bad?

Don't fancy buying electronic ignition from a big parts suppler for £68 plus VAT plus delivery and then instalation costs?

I have sourced a reasonably priced electronic ignition set-up for most VW distributors. I get a good deal for buying in bulk, so what I am asking is this?

Who wants to upgrade to electronic ignition for £55 including instalation and timing check and if you are interested...

...what type of distributor are you running? (009 or std Vac advance?)

If there is sufficent interest, I'll get a bulk order in! Reply post here if you are interested then watch this space...

The electronic ignition may well help, but i would suggest we also check all the basics too (ignition timing, fuel mixture, valve clearances, compression).

We should check the basics first, before I take £55 off you for something that may not solve your particular problem but as you drive your car a lot, it should be a good idea anyway.

Hi Andy.

Same applies really - A few hours checking the van over before the show season and electronic ignition should make a world of difference to your bus. Just wants setting up properley again I guess.

Speak soon.

There has been a fair amount of interest - I have been testing the product to ensure relaibility before unleashing it on the VW Club!

I will be making decisions later this week...

Put me down for one for Charlies bug - For ref: In my experience for this to work correctly and efficiently - its essential that the engine is set up and running correctly in the first place - money well spent and saved later.
